After breakfast at your hotel, embark on a journey to explore a different and historic side of Cairo: Old Cairo, rich in cultural and religious heritage. Our first stop will be Coptic Cairo, where you'll visit iconic landmarks such as the Hanging Church, one of the oldest Christian churches in Egypt, and the Cave Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, believed to be where the Holy Family sought refuge during their flight to Egypt. We’ll also stop at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, a site with a fascinating blend of Jewish and Christian history.
Next, we’ll visit the majestic Citadel of Saladin, a medieval Islamic fortification offering breathtaking views of the city. While here, you’ll tour the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, also known as the Alabaster Mosque, a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture.
After a leisurely lunch (included), we’ll continue to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), home to the incredible Royal Mummies Hall and an extensive collection of artifacts spanning Egypt's long and storied history.
To round out the day, we'll stroll through the bustling Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where you can shop for traditional souvenirs, spices, and crafts, while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of one of Cairo’s oldest markets.
By late afternoon, we’ll return to your hotel for a well-deserved rest after a day filled with exploration and discovery.
